Lissabon: Smart Cities – Städte der Zukunft

Energy Cities participated in the political panel on the „Smart Cities – Cities of the Future“ conference, organised by Lisboa E-Nova. Lisboa E-Nova is Lisbon’s Energy and Environment Agency; rhe conference took place on 29 November in the portuguese capital. Francisco Gonçalves, our replication lead, made a presentation about the role cities play in the energy transition process. Spme of the good examples illustrated by his presentation were the measures being implemented in Vienna within Smarter Together project. In this specific case,  Francisco Gonçalves highlighted the building retrofit in Simmering, which will have PV panels, and the potential connection with the local condominium eCar-sharing in the targeted housing blocks. The Deputy Mayor for Energy and Environment of Lisbon and more than 100 participants attended this 2-day event (municipalities, smes, startups, utilities, universities, citizens).
